2024: 7th International Anatolian Agriculture, Food, Environment and Biology Congress, Kastamonu/Türkiye

Dear participants,

To bring the developments in the fields of agriculture, food, environment, and biology to the agenda and to enable new collaborations, the 7th International Anatolian Agriculture, Food, Environment, and Biology Congress will be held in Kastamonu on 26-29 September 2024, with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye İbrahim YUMAKLI. The congress will be under the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Kastamonu University, and Turkish Journal of Agriculture – Food, Science and Technology (TURJAF), hosted by Kastamonu University and organized by Turkish Science and Technology Publishing (TURSTEP) and Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Ayhan Şahenk Agricultural Application and Research Center.

Presentations can be hybrid (face-to-face and online) at our congress.

As it is known, agriculture is an activity that maintains its importance in terms of feeding and clothing humanity, and providing raw materials for the agricultural industry, and will continue to be important in the future.

With the transfer of scientific knowledge and application of technology in agriculture, improvements have been made in product quantity and quality. However, with the intensification of agriculture, some problems such as environmental pollution, residue in the products, and welfare problems in animals have also come to the fore.

For these reasons; The main objectives of our congress are to bring to the agenda production activities linked to agriculture such as agricultural production techniques, agricultural production, food, and textile industry and their effects on the environment, and to examine the scientific and technological developments in these fields at the international level. In addition, preparing the ground for expert scientists from different countries and universities, as well as representatives of the public and private sectors, to exchange information and to produce more effective solutions by combining their forces is among Congress's objectives. Many national and international researchers working in the fields of agriculture and agriculture-based sectors and their interaction with the environment are expected to attend this important meeting.

We are happy to organize this congress in memory of Prof. Dr. Şaban Karataş, who trained thousands of students in agricultural education and contributed to agriculture as an academician and manager.
